r/SesameChicken
During my travels, I began frequenting chinese buffets across the country. Even during the post-covid era, buffets have been a great way to stuff my face for reasonable rates. At home, I'd never been a sesame chicken guy. I was always more into the sweet and sour stuff but I wanted to change things up - I found this spot in that was the absolute bomb dot com. They were all you could eat, had some of the best sesame chicken and egg rolls, served boba, and all in some town I'd never heard of. Eventually, I came back to Michigan, and got put onto a place in Wyandotte, who are my top contender.
They're absolutely killer! Eventually, I decided to put together a subreddit for people who are into sesame chicken; r/SesameChicken - our goal is to find the best sesame chicken on earth!
69/420 Potatoes
69/420 Potatoes are a very bare bones baked potato recipe for the stoned homie, so simple even the most fried homies can make them perfectly.
You're gonna wanna start by grabbing some russet potatoes and preheating your oven to 425 degrees.
First, wash the potatoes. By that I mean, rinse the potatoes. Do not soap up your spuds.
Then, let them dry. Once they've dried poke a bunch of holes in them with a fork. Then take mixing bowl toss in a splash of vegetable oil, and your potatoes. Move them around in the bowl until they're completely coated in a thin layer of oil. You don't need a ton of oil to make this recipe work. Once coated, salt and pepper them thoroughly. Place them on a baking tray. Once the oven is up to temperature, put the tray into the oven and close the oven door. Set a timer for 69 minutes. Once the timer goes off, stab them with a fork for tenderness. If it sails right through the spud, it's done. If for whatever reason they're not let them go for another 10 to 15 minutes and check again. After cooking, let the potatoes rest for a few minutes then dig the fuck in.
